About Langell Photography 

Langell Photography is a photographic business run by Lisa Langell - an avid photographer based in Arizona, but who spends considerable time in Alaska. Beyond selling photographic images, the business also offers tours and workshops, as well as educational programs and webinars. 

Lisa has always been interested in birdwatching since a young age, which is what started her interest in photography. She received a proper camera at age 13, which put her photography journey on a more serious path. 

After being an avid hobbyist photographer, Lisa decided to turn her passion into a business in 2010, and so Langell Photography was born.

The small business kept on growing, and in 2015 she had to make the decision to either stick to her day job or focus on Langell Photography full-time. Since choosing her own business path, Lisa has grown Langell Photography into a thriving photographic venture.

What challenges did you face when establishing your business? 

When I started Langell Photography, I was using some of the tools I had used in my previous company for managing registrations because that’s all I knew. All of these tools had their pros and cons. However, the biggest challenge was that people weren't receiving my emails and the customer service was atrocious. 

Then, I hired someone to do some web design for me and they did a terrible job. Thousands of dollars later, I knew I needed a simplified solution for managing registrations.

We decided to enhance our Alaska workshops and wanted to ramp our business up with a registration solution that we could trust. Our aim was to find a solution that didn't require any coding and worked seamlessly. 

After picking about 30 different systems to investigate, WeTravel was consistently the one that performed best, so we decided to try it out.

How did you come across WeTravel?  What WeTravel features stood out for your business? 

We were looking for a platform that works in real-time, which Wetravel does. Another prerequisite was not having to communicate with a web designer. My last requirement was that I needed to be able to use the system from my phone and from anywhere. WeTravel ticked all of these boxes.

The WeTravel user interface is clean and simple, and we love the landing pages that weTravel offers. We can easily build something there without any coding knowledge. 

Sending customized waivers to our clients with a signature included was always a major challenge before and it's something that WeTravel easily addressed. 

With WeTravel, we don't need to send invoices for installments, rather, this is done automatically (which saves plenty of time, money, and insanity!).

Enticing people to take certain actions after signing up for our workshops (like signing forms), was always a nightmare, but this is a breeze with WeTravel. The dashboard also gives you a better understanding of all your clients and your business in real-time.

We also appreciate the level of customer support we receive with WeTravel. We feel listened to and as though the team actually cares and is interested in helping us.

How have your customers reacted to using WeTravel? 

When I looked at some of my competitors, I couldn't believe how poor their systems are compared to ours since using WeTravel. They don't extract enough information from their clients, and their guests have to go through unnecessary manual processes. 

With WeTravel, our guests have a seamless registration journey. 

How has your business changed since adopting WeTravel? 

Simply put, it’s a lot more streamlined. Cancellations used to be a much bigger issue to manage, but now this process is simple, all thanks to WeTravel. Being able to cancel a seat in our workshops and deciding how much needs to be refunded is easy. 

Using WeTravel also means we don't have to deal with as many questions from clients, and our business looks more professional. 

Prior to using WeTravel, we would spend copious amounts of time on reservations. Now, we spend minimal time on them. 

We also love that people can download brochures from the platform, which helps us generate leads. WeTravel has paid itself off again and again in time saved.
