Hello, my name is Elina! I am a creative and enthusiastic person, passionate about creating mutually beneficial relationships as well as bringing value and impact. I’ve got over nine years of professional client-facing experience and a master's degree in International Management from one of the world's leading universities - Trinity College Dublin.
I’m part of WeTravel; my role is an Account Executive and I’m responsible for managing the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal.
I’ve always been passionate about traveling and meeting people from different cultures. The combination of my skills, talents, interests and previous professional experience brought me to WeTravel, where my journey in the travel industry has started. I’ve been working in WeTravel for almost a year now and I feel blessed to do exactly what I like and what I am good at.
I’ve got a long history of hard-working women in my family and the Women’s History month is truly important to me as I see it as an opportunity to familiarize myself and others about activists, leaders and pioneers who have been ensuring women are recognized. It’s time to celebrate all of the accomplishments of women!
During my career I’ve learnt many valuable lessons and one of the most important ones is the fact that being a woman+ shouldn’t be an obstacle to your career growth. You should keep going and never give up, despite numerous challenges on the way.
I’ve always promoted the movement of equality in the workplace. I’ve created events, societies and women’s groups aimed at showing women+ the opportunities as well as empower female leadership and entrepreneurship in the tech field and in the travel industry.
You should always be yourself, clearly understand your goals and remember that you can achieve anything if you set your mind to it!
I feel very happy and encouraged to see that women+ are becoming more and more represented in the travel industry! As a female, I’m proud to be working in a highly supportive environment with great leadership, the one that makes me feel supported and represented.
It’s important to raise awareness of the challenges facing females everywhere - this needs to be talked about and we still have a long way to go. Nevertheless, I feel incredibly inspired to see that women keep educating and empowering other women in the travel industry.
Fortunately, the travel industry recognizes the importance of empowering its female workforce. There are few actions we can all take to keep empowering women: get more women in global leadership and create a better environment for career development.
